Once upon a time there was a village in that village there is beautiful mountain and Snow falling down. There are many cows, goats and buffalo. In that village there is one boy who used to live in that village. He has four members. All together he has four members. He was from poor family .His father was so strict man and always used to scold him. The boy’s was Nyima. He has one sister her name is Dolma. She was very nice girl and everyone loved her.

Nyima mother was a very kind woman and used to help others while the villagers were in need. Nyima had many friends’ .His friends were very good. When his father went out from house .one of his friend called Nyima to come out and play with us. Nyima went in front of mother and he begged his mother and stared saying mom let me to go outside .His mother told go out and come soon. Nyima and his friend all together they went out from house.

When they were walking they reached in front of forest in that village they cut some of the trees from that trees they collected wood. One of his friend burns fire and enjoyed their picnic. Nyima told hey friend today is a wonderful day today we have lot of fun. After having fun they all went home. When they are having fun, father was all ready reached home. When Nyima reached home he didn’t knew that father had reached home. Nyima tried to go inside the house at that time his father come in front of him and stood near him. After that he’s father scold him .without my promission why did you go outside with your friend? Nyima told because one of my friends called me to come out from house .He told this thing to father .His father didn’t know that his mother let him go outside.

At that movement Nyima‘s sister was looking at her brother .she saw father was scolding her brother. After that her tears come out from her eyes and started crying. When Nyima sister was crying her father saw Dolma was crying too. Father went towards her. He started asking “why are you Crying”.  She said I am crying because you scold my brother. He is a good boy. Father said you don’t know that your brother is a big liar and I don’t want to see you being like your brother. Dolma said my brother is not a liar.

I know that you are saying these things. She went to her room and closed the door. Mother knocked at the door. When mother knock at the door, Dolma open her room door. Mother enters inside the room. Mother stared saying why are you crying? Beautiful girls don’t cry. Now wipe your tears and give me a smile. So Dolma wiped her tears and went towards her brother room. When she saw that her brother was not inside his room. She was shocked. She tried to find Where did he go but she didn’t find him. She went towards her mother and said “Mom Nyima is not in his room”. I wonder where he went. Don’t worry Dolma he has run away from home where will he go? There is no other place for him. Now go to your room and complete your notes. Till then I will get you some milk said mother. It was half past 9. When it started raining, Dolma went down and she called mother is raining outside and has been hours and hours when Nyima left home. I wonder where he went.

Actually Nyima had left his home because his father always used to scold him without any reason. No one in his family used to love him. So he thought he should run away. Many and many years passed away. One fine morning there was a old man and he said is this Nyima‘s place where Nyima lives. Yes said Dolma this is the place where Nyima lives.

I have one sad news for you. Nyima has passed away. He did not get any foods to eat and any shelter and also didn’t get water to drink for many months and one day he passed away. But how can he live us and go alone. Young lady I am sorry say this but you people have never loved him. He was the only one who loved and cared for you all. But you people never did that and now you people regret. You people know how to take but never learned how to give. Because of your family today Nyima has to leave this world. Nyima was a very kind boy. He made a promise that he wants blame his family member .said old to Dolma. This is end of my story.

Once in a far village, they lived a poor widow mother and a beautiful daughter .Her name was Anita. Her father passed away when she was young, and now she was very big with black curly hair, she had very big eyes. She was not very kind, her behavior was very bad. She used to get jealous of other girls. She used to obey her mother and did whatever her mother told her to do. She used to study in grade nine plus she was very talent. In the morning she used to wake up early and go to school.

As usual when she was returning from her school, it’s started raining; it rains so heavily that she had to wait until the rains stop. So she thought that she had to wait inside the small shop. Suddenly she heard someone saying” it’s raining so heavily”, I wonder when the rains will stop! As she looked back she found a young 18 looking boy. The boy was so handsome at first sight only she felt in love with him because of his cute face, charming smile and a unique hair style. She kept on looking at him with his big and beautiful eyes. The boy said” why are you looking at me in that way’ then she replied”ooh!! I am sorry for that I was just thinking about something.

By the way I am Anita and I live in this village with my mom. The boy replied and your dad? She said my dad passed away when I was small.ooh!! I am sorry about that. It’s ok you did not about it. The boy said I am Atish, I stay with my mom and dad .We just came from city to live here. She said ooh!!! While we were talking the rains have stopped, I think I must go now. Bye than see you later. When she reached home her mother was waiting. She said where have you been till now? I was so worried about you. When Anita met Atish she forgets everything and kept on thinking about him.

She replied” mom you didn’t need to worry about me” I am safe now. And I am present in front of you. But you didn’t give me the answer of my question.ooh!! Mom please stops irritating me I said I am fine and please stop asking me the same question again and again. And then Anita went to upstairs towards her room when her mother was looking at her husband pictures. She cried and said” see what a daughter we have, she never listen to me, I am tired now I can’t resist it anymore I am too old to resist it’s know I have promised you that I will always keep her happy and never let miss her father’s love but I can’t keep this promise.

Please forgive me.. I am really sorry for that and she ran to her room. And started crying until and unless her heart becomes little light. Anita was thinking about Atish, she never realized how much she had hurt her mother but she didn’t care about it. In the morning she used to wake up early and went to the same shop but she didn’t found him. that day she didn’t went to school and she returned her mother said” from morning till now where have you been” the principle phoned me that you didn’t come to school. Anita was very angry that she shouted in very rough voice, what is the matter with you? Why are you always bothering bout me whenever I come you always ask the same question’s .I just want to get rid of your stupid question.

Listen this thing carefully please leave the habit of irritating me. You don’t know how to live a life you have already destroyed your life and now you want to destroy my life. When her mother heard this tears kept falling from her eyes. Anita went upstairs .in the morning when she wake up she get ready and went down to find her mother but when she opened her bedroom door she found that her mother was hanged up. She was dead underneath the pillow. She found a letter when she started reading tears felt from her eyes she fell down on her knees and cried a lot. Her mother wrote …

My dear daughter Anita,
I know that I always kept irritating you. Though always irate you I have always kept you in my heart, I promised your dad that I will always keep you happy and never let you miss your father love but I could not do that so I am sorry for that, you are the one whom I have always love and cared about you but if you want to get rid of me that I am .so that I am leaving this world and going where your father is. Though I leave you but I will always be at your side. I will always help you when you are needed...
Your mother.

As she kept on crying she said” please forgive me”, I will never make the same mistake. I never knew what mother is and I have always hurt you. I had never thought of hurting you but I still kept in hurting you, sorry for that mom.

After the death of her mother, she worked so hard to earn herself and she also stopped meeting Atish. Many years passed away until one day Anita became a successful doctor and afterward she got married and had one daughter and the daughter names was Muskan and they lived happily even after.

THE TWINS BROTHERS

Once upon a time there was a poor family and they had a two twin children. After few months there mother died but the two twins children didn’t know there mother died because the two twins children was small. And after a month their father married with another girl. The wife was very foolish and selfish. She does not take care of the two twins children. But the two twins name was Tenzing and Tsering. They have got one goat. Their stepmother doesn`t give food to two twins and they were so angry. Tenzin goes to forest to find food.

One day their step mother knows that tenzin will go to forest and bring some food like apple, banana and pea for him and for his brother to fit themselves, after their step mother knows that Tenzin will go the forest but stepmother put poison in apple trees. In that day Tsering was hungry and asleep. When Tenzing came to home he thought that Tsering was dead. Tenzin unknowingly hide the Tsering body. Tenzin was thinking that will go to search for his father down the hill. He searched everywhere but he didn`t find his father. Searched every were but he didn`t find his father.

When Tenzin went back he was shocked because Tsering was alive and searching for Tenzin but Tsering didn`t saw Tenzin and but Tenzin was Tsering and Tenzin asked surprise ` how can be alive Tsering said ` what a foolish question? I was not dead/. I was just sleeping Tenzin said himself that I am so foolish because Tsering was just sleepi8ng only I thought that you were dead. When I went to go for search father I was so surprised to see you.

Tenzin and Tsering wore both happy and they thought to each other. Tenzin and Tsering ear but suddenly stepmother came and sell the goat to other people. After few days Tenzin and Tsering was unhappy because they have mother to eat food to fit then. Again after few days Tenzin and Tsering ran away from their house because to find their father. Tenzin said that Tsering to go up to the hill and find our father and Tenzin said I will go down the hill to find for our father. Tenzin was going he found one woman and asked give me one banana but he haven`t any banana to him and that woman said thank you and they went and tenzin went by himself to find for his father.

After they went by themselves to find for his father. After their step mother know that Tenzin and Tsering have ran away from their house , when Tenzin and Tsering ran away from  house their step mother did not care and thought they will come fast, but they didn`t  come and stepmother was worried about Tsering and Tenzin. Slowly their stepmother was worried about Tsering and Tenzin. Slowly their stepmother begins to be ill in home. So she was worried about Tenzin and Tsering. Slowly their stepmother begin to be ill because of there was nobody with their stepmother in home.

So she was worried. So Tenzin and Tsering ran come to the house Tsering and Tenzin take care of their stepmother during holiday. After few days their stepmother was surprise that her two twin’s children take care of her but although they take care of her so their stepmother was foolish and selfish. Stepmother bit Tenzin and Tsering because of their stepmother and went to forest although why stepmother is not doing nice to me and he search for wood to make small tent. He search and made one small tent and started to live there alone. In that forest he started to kill animals and eat when it became morning Tsering thought that Tenzin had run away from house and told to stepmother I thought that Tenzin had run away from house and told to step mother.

I thought that Tenzin had run away from house but her stepmother told him don`t worry about Tenzin. He has gone to some other place to earn money. After one month he will come. But Tenzing thought its right. After one month Tenzin didn’t came back and his stepmother lied to Tsering. Tenzin also run away from house and search Tenzin in forest. Tenzin was hungry and searched small animals. He find one hen that he was Tsering`s hen. When Tenzin tried to catch the hen and he didn’t catch that hen. That he ran away and Tenzin also ran after hen and that he went to Tsering place and Tenzin saw Tsering that it was Tsering`s hen and they two meet and lived together in one house,

THE POOR FAMILY

Once upon a time there was a village called Manang. There lived a girl named Maya. She was very hard working girl and also very kind. She lived with her mother. She does not have any Brother or sister. Her father was passed when she was small. They were very poor. Her mother work very hard. She earned Just enough money any for herself and her daughter. Maya used to go school although they were poor. She studies very hard to make her future bright.

One day Maya was sad because today. Her day was very bad day. She went to her home and did Homework. When her mother called her for dinner. She was already slept and her mother did not disturb her. She just put blanket on her. When Maya was slept she dreamed that Mother was a killed by a stranger. She wakes up from her dream because she thought it was rare. She was very upset afraid She. Cry for some time when her mother heard that Maya was crying she ran to her and asked her what happened? But Maya did    not answer. At morning Maya did eat her breakfast her Mother again asked her what happened.

But she just said that she is not felling well. Her mother was very worry and asked to go to the hospital but she said no. I will be alright. Her mother forced her but she did not listen her. She went to the school without her breakfast. At evening when she was returning from her school she did not found her mother but she thought that she has gone to her uncle’s house. She waited but she did not come and she ran to her uncle’s house but they were also not there. She searches all the places but she did not found. On the way she walked very sadly and suddenly she met her uncle’s Daughter. Maya asked her where your mother is. Father her and that Maya’s mother was ill and her mother and father has taken to the hospital.

When Maya heard this she was very sad and her eyes filled with tears. She told to her uncle’s daughter that We must go fast and my mother. When they reached the hospital, she saw that her mother was sleeping. She ran fast and asked her “this morning she was alright and now what’s wrong with her.” Her uncle did not tell her anything about chest problem. So she has to do operation. He did not tell that what was happened to her but he just said that don’t have to work my dear. She will be fine. After a few minute the doctor came and told that you have to bring her tomorrow. Maya took her mother to home. She took very care of her.

At morning her mother was still sleeping. After a while her uncle came and they had a breakfast. After breakfast uncle took her to the hospital and told Maya to go to school but she was too worry for her mother. She went to school very sadly and today she did not talk with her friend also. At evening Maya returned home and she directly went to the hospital without doing her homework. When she reached to the hospital she directly went to her mother and hugged her. After a while the doctor came and gave some medicine and also advised her to take a full day rest.

The doctor told that if you give medicine in time, she will be fine and now she is getting well day by day. When Maya and his uncle heard they become very happy then Maya took her to home and she gives her medicine in time. And also look care of her. After few months ago her mother was very fine and when Maya saw this she was much exited and they live very happily.

Tragedy of My Love:

There was a girl named Jessica. She was a lovely girl, who was very loving and caring to parents. She thought that love was poisonous because she had suffered a lot. Jessica and her friend Sam were very close .she could not make any good girlfriends but she really enjoyed making boyfriends. She thought that it was more comfortable with her boy friend’s rather than her girlfriends. Sam was one of her boyfriend. But as time passed she happened to have feelings for Sam. she thought of telling him about her feelings towards him. But she didn’t have courage to say so.

One day a friend of Sam told her that he like her too. She could not believe it but as time passed, she somehow got courage to say but still was not sure. One day she wrote a letter to him telling that she liked him. But from that day she regretted a lot because from that he did not talk to her. He seemed to ignore her, her heart sank. It seemed like she could not live without him. Every minute seemed like a year she tried to talk to him but he ignored her. She was hurt and suffered for five years. She remembered every second that she had spent with him. She regretted a lot about her letter. She got a lot of pain just one piece of letter and three words “I love you”. From that day she never thought of proposing anyone and advice not to propose.

She used to cry when she heard about love stories and watched movies. She dreamed about Sam and the happy time they had shared together. As years passed she saw a lot of difference from Sam. He used to play with a girl named Betty. She was a pretty lady with a curly hair. She could not stand seeing it like that. She thought of forgetting him. But every time she saw him so him something occurred in her heart. Her eyes showing all her feeling towards him filled with tears. She could not stop her feeling. One day when Amy and Jessica were talking about couples marriages and baby. Suddenly, their topic came about their crush and lovers.

Then hearing about Amy’s proposal, Jessica burst all her feelings for Sam and how she had suffered all these years. Jessica saw Amy’s eyes widen and when Amy’s mouth widened too, She said, “You too?” Jessica’s heart sank. What did she meant by “you too?” Then Amy said Betty liked him too. Jessica could not say a word hearing it. She ran till she reached her room and cried till her heart and mind became a little light. Then she fell asleep. Suddenly she heard a noise which woke up her. In the next room, she saw Sam and Betty. She slowly peeped into their door and saw him with Betty. On the table were a rose and a bottle of champagne.

Now, Jessica knew that they liked each other and they were having a date. She heard a soft music from and packed all her clothes to leave. She was about to leave when a knock came on her door. She slowly opened the door and saw John. John was her best friend. He was a guy who you can share your feeling to.  She was warm and comfortable. He had once proposed Jessica. Jessica was his first love and crush. But Jessica had to reject because she had someone else in her heart. Anyway, John and Jessica had known each other well. John knew everything about Jessica’s feeling toward Sam. So he comforted Jessica when she was depressed by Sam.

Sam and John were best friend. Sometime Jessica was shocked how John would know that she was depressed. She thought that they were soul mate even if she couldn’t give all her heart to him. She would always have him in her mind. That time when Jessica had opened the door, it was John and he had brought something on his hand. He was in great hurry. He told Jessica to wear it. It was a beautiful dress in blue color. Jessica thanked John for the dress and asked, “Why are suddenly telling me to wear this beautiful dress and where are we going?” Then he replied that it was an emergency. They hurried through the corridor and then they reached John’s room. His room was dark and before opening the door, He tied a blind fold around her eye.

They walked into his room. John then untied the blindfold and there on the table she saw delicious cake which had a name on it. Then John sang a birthday song and Jessica realized that today was her birthday. In all these mess and the pain that she has suffered, she had forgotten about her birthday. She started to cry. John was shocked; he asked why she was crying. Jessica told what she had seen and how the days had been these years.

But she was thankful to him for his encouragement and the gift. John full of sorrow in his eyes said that her birthday party was not over yet. She still had to blow the candle and receive a gift.  Jessica thought he was being too kind. John took Jessica’s hand and asked to blow the candle and make a wish. John gave Jessica a gift. It was a small box but Jessica did not mind. Inside box was a beautiful necklace. Then John cheered Jessica with some jokes. John took Jessica to her room and bid good night. Then he went to another room of his.

He thought of sleeping but suddenly the door smacked open and there on the door stood a boy. He gave John a kiss and gave a note book on John’s hand. John thanked the boy. When the boy was out of his room, he read the cover on which was written, “Sam’s personal diary”. John thought since Sam shared his entire secret to him, so it won’t matter. He started to look at the topic and he suddenly saw that there was a topic, “My first love.” John tried to remember if Sam had told him about his first love but no he hadn’t.

John thought it was of course Betty but on the notebook it was written 22nd/jan/2010. He remembered that Jessica had purposed Sam on 15th /12/2001. There was some kind of connection. So without hesitating, he started to turn the pages. When he reached on the right page and started to read. It said that his first love was his best friend Jessica!!! He didn’t know what love was and slowly he realized that he was in love with Jessica. But it was too late. He realized it after he had rejected his love. He had been regretting a lot.

Until the day came that Sam and his best friend John were talking about love. John had asked him that if Sam liked Jessica or not and if he liked her than why did he reject her? Sam had already seen through John’s eye, that there was a feeling of love for Jessica. He saw clearly that John cared for Jessica. Sam thought that since he had given a lot of pain to Jessica and John had always brought a smile on her face. He thought of giving up his love for his friend and also for the betterment of Jessica as he found out that she was happy with John and john would never hurt her and keep her happy always. The he turned the page but it was blank.

That was the last page of that topic. Then he closed that diary. John’s eye was full of tears. He felt very sorry for Sam as well as Jessica. He thought he was the one who always came in between Sam and Jessica and he himself was the reason why they weren’t together. John realized that if Jessica knows that Sam also loves her, she would be very happy. So he thought of telling her about it. As he only wanted to see Jessica happy and nothing else. He also felt a bit hurt to tell her as he loved her dearly. But, he only thought of Jessica’s happiness and took this high risk and confidence to tell her about it. The next morning, John thought of telling Jessica.
So, without eating anything, he went to Jessica’s room. On the door he saw Sam was crying. John was shocked. He went in the room and on the floor was Jessica lying dead. She had eaten sleeping pills. On the floor she had buried all her clothes accept the clothes John had given her and some pictures of Sam and her. There was a letter too. John read the letter loud.

“Dear john
I didn’t had any way. So I had to choose this way. When I was hurt and went I got rejected from Sam you were always there for me, whenever I needed any help, I always found you around me as a friend. Thank you for that I couldn’t accept your proposal as you know I love Sam. By living I think I will hurt you even more. So, I thought its better for me to die as everything will be ok after it. I couldn’t give you my heart as it’s already with Sam and I just can’t take it back. So forget about the past, forget me and marry a nice girl.
My last word to you Sam, “I love you!”

John asked Sam why was he there. Sam replied that he and Betty had a long date. He too remembered Jessica’s birthday. So, after his date he went to buy a present fro Jessica. Then he went to Jessica’s house. He was surprised as the door was widely opened but when he entered inside he saw Jessica lying on the floor and beside her was a bottle of sleeping fills. He said that he tried to wake her up but found that she was already dead. John was full of tears when he heard about this. He thought if she had waited one day for him that she wouldn’t have to die. Then after an hour they took her dead body to the tomb and the priest preached the prayers. Then they buried her body….

THE   ULTIMATE   FRIENDSHIP

Today I lost my most precious thing in the world. Every time my heart pains. Tears keep rolling and never quit. Remorse is what I feel now. Every day, every time, I am waiting and longing of her my dear friend Tsering Lhamo. She was my best friend, a very wonderful friend. She was an honest girl with what she does and always useful to others. A girl, different from others and completely different from me. Where as these nature were not in me.

It was my first day of new school; Big building, large library, beautiful garden, sports ground, kids, boys and girls, teacher and many students. Everything was different from my old school. I walked from the corridor and stepped inside the classroom. I was in grade 7.Everybody was whispering in their ear saying “who’s this fellow”. I stared at the teacher and then to every body. My eye reached to a girl sitting alone in a bench, watching kids playing outside from the window.
I went straight to the bench and sat beside her. I try to talk to her but she seems in bad mood. Maybe interested in some things. 1st period gone, 2nd period gone, I couldn’t get my guts to speak to her nor she spoke to me. I couldn’t understand why she was acting like this. Maybe she had some problem or maybe she likes to spend alone. No, did everyone hat her? I felt so sorry for her and thought it will be nice if I gave some company .so, that day ended hopelessly.

Next day, I in a hopeful mood entered the class room, hoping I could have some chats with her and also know about her problem. But I was faded as she was not at her seat. I took my seat preparing for my first class. My eyes were waiting to see her. I thought to myself “is she’s not coming today?”Two periods gone but there was no sign of her. Then I Just gave up my hope as I was sure that she wouldn’t be coming.
Till eight periods the bell rang. When I reached my home that night my mind was disturbed. Tomorrow, will she be present? Will I able to know her problem? Maybe she‘s not coming. Morning as I reached the school surely I saw her. “Yesterday, you were absent. Did anything happen to you?” five minutes later, tear roll from her eyes and quickly flung over me. 

Suddenly my heart started beating. I try to comfort her. “Dear friend, don’t cry. Everything is going to be ok, I can help you. Nevertheless, she just went out of the class. At the break time I was very sad to found out that her dear father passed away due to cancer and this was something I can’t help her. I felt so sorry for her. In the morning my mom called me up “Choekyi, get up. A friend is here for you.” A friend! Is it she?  I jumped off my bed and went down stairs. I was absolutely right. It was her supping tea in the living room. I cried, “It’s you! I am so happy to see you.

Let’s talk”. She calmed me downed and smiled “well….just come to say sorry for everything from the beginning .I really troubled you, right? You know everything from my dad…” I said to her “no! It’s nothing. I am sorry too. I just want to know about you. Well, my name is Choekyi a new student. Shall we be friends”? And this way we were known to each other.

She always shares my sorrows and joys. She helped me a lot. She was very good in study where I was weak and helped me in my study. During holidays she used to take me to library. Although she read a lot, I did not. Every day she used to give me an advice from being wrong. She would say “read, reading makes you perfect.”My holiday passed by helping my mom as she forced me to do. Things became easier when she was there. If not, every thing difficult.

I saw many changes in my life. I saw mom smiling at me “daughter, go on”. Sunday was my birthday. Every students of my grade came. I also had told her about my birthday. I was sure she would come but she was now where to be seen. I blew my candle, cut the cake and distributed to everyone .After the party everyone went home. I stilled hoped she would suddenly appear at the door. But it was all hopeless. I enjoyed unwrapping all the present and found interesting things. At school she was presence at the bench before I came.

As soon as I came she smiled but I couldn’t smile back at her because she broke my hope yesterday. I took my seat without speaking a word to her. Then suddenly my eye went to a sparkling note book that was under my desk. “It’s for you”. She said. I took it out and opened it. I was really fascinated by the words “TO MY SPECIAL FRIEND.HAPPY BIRTHDAY. Thank you for your birth and being a very wonderful friend of mine on this earth. Sorry, I broke your hope.”I gave a big smile and hugged her. “Thank you. This is one of my best gifts that I have received till now”. Day by day our friendship became really strong. I got very liking of her. Then the following day was our final examination. First day Math’s test! I HATE It. I REALLY DID HATE EXAMINATION. Lhamu was waiting at the school notice board that morning. As soon as I reached her she asked me “are you prepared?”I ignored the question and looked at the notice board.

My seat number was 16 and her 18.One step back. “We are in same class! I shouted. “YES, friends are always together, right? She replied. We straightly went to our class and took a seat. First bell rang; she quickly whispered to my ear, “GOOD LUCK! Do it sincerely”. As the teacher walked in every body was silent. Papers were on my table. I quickly turned my head towards my friend. She smiled back at me and put two thumps up.

MY face went red when the question reached my hand. I looked at the question s and found it very difficult. I put my head up and looked to everyone they were busy writing .An hour gone my paper was blank.  My head was dump. So, I took a chance to cheat. Carefully I looked to my teacher and took my first cheat paper from my pocket. I put the paper on my lap and busy copied all the answer. As I saw the teacher coming towards me I quickly threw the paper towards back.

I was very nervous. I thought the teacher has captured me. But to my surprise he straightly went back. I was relief and looked at my answer sheet. Suddenly, I heard my friend name called by the teacher.  I looked back and saw her standing up. Her body was shaking. “Did you cheat?”  The teacher shouted at her. “No! Sir that cheats paper is not mine.  I really didn’t do it.

I don’t know how it came.” “Sir, please…..”  She cried in tears. “Do you know who did? He said. She looked at the paper slowly and then to me. Her eyes in full of tears replied “yes” to the teacher. The teacher in shocked said again “you really did it? Say me the truth. You are a good student and a good position holder. I believe you.”   She clearly nodded her head and said “I really did it, sir.” Then she quietly got up from her seat and went out of the class. Seeing this all I was completely blank like a stone. Tears keep rolling from my cheek. Because of my cheat paper that has reached her place when I threw it back has made my friend out of the class.

Heart was advising me own up but my mouth was not by my side. I couldn’t speak. I saw her from the door smiling and whispering; which I understood that she was wishing me “GOOD LUCK.”  I broke her promise saying that I will do my exam sincerely. I will never cheat. I keep my mom happy by studying hard. But now it’s all useless. After the exam I never saw her, nor do I have one call from her. ONE year gone I never heard her, saw her and she never came to school. I became alone. My days became shineless.Then one day as I was sitting alone in a bench, watching    kids playing outside from the window; a teacher came straight towards me and gave me a startle. “A letter for you, from your friend.”  I unfolded the letter slowly and read it.

Dear Choekyi,
HI, how are you doing? I pray to god that you are always fine. It’s a long time you heard me, right? Don’t worry, I am always fine. How’s your mom doing? I always know you as a wonderful friend of mine. You came to my life along with the sunshine and lighted up my life. Being with you I learnt to smile every time and to live life fully. Thank you for your wonderful friendship.  About last time please don’t worry. Forget it. Don’t feel remorse. In fact I am happy that I did that. I am indeed proud that I did something for my friend. I don’t have any regret. Always smile!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   And remember me.

Sonam was a girl who lived in city with his father and mother. She was a girl who doesn’t know any thing about her parent’s background.  She was the only one child of her parents. So, everyone loves her very much. She was a kind of girl who loved nature. When ever she saw some beautiful sights. She used to spend whole day over there .

Thinking how they have formed and who made it? She used to ask too many question to her parents and teacher. Her teacher name was Miss Tenzing who was same as her. Who is also found of nature? She also asks too many questions to her family. Sonam always go to Miss Tenzing in free time and ask her that what was the answer her parents used to tell her. Miss Tenzing said, my parents always used to say that my grandfather was as same as same her who is deeded in nature and the answer they used to tell me is that it was made by god. But I don’t believe it.  Why don’t you believe that? Miss Tenzing said sonam I have no idea.
Sonam thought in her mind, I wish my grandfather was as same as her grandfather. So, bell rang and she returns to her home. Her mother Dawa Chuzom was waiting for her to come back. When sonam open the door all the colorful flowers and beautiful thing fall over her. She saw her house was decorated with beautiful and colorful paper. After sometime she felt like was dreaming but it was real. She started to call her mother and father but no one is answering. She thought that her mother was in a kitchen. When she went there her mother was not there instead of her there was all delicious food that she never saw before nor tested.
Again she calls her mother and father but no answer. She felt anxious, where did they went she said to herself. I hope they are in dinning hall. Sonam open the door slowly and peeped all over. She heard women were whispering and her mother was there too. Then she open whole door and look at her mother. What are you all doing over here? From back sight her father was clapping hand and saying “HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU” “HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU” “HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY SONAM” “ HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU” then after some second everyone start to say “HAPPY BIRTHDAY OT YOU” They kept on saying for a  minute.
Then sonam looked surprisingly and said OH! MY GOD today is my birthday I am so stupid that I even don’t know my own date of birth. Today is 5th January it’s my birthday. I am really sorry to everyone for making you all wait for such a long time and at the same time I would like to thank you for every thing you did for me . I will never and ever forget this moment in my life.

Her mom came near to her and said its okay sonam you are a child and every child makes mistake even we make mistake there is no one perfect in this world. Now shall we start our party? Party said sonam? Yes, my sweet daughter we are going to give party to everyone present here. Sonam said okay then everyone enjoys your night. After some minute she calls her mom and went outside.

Mom I have one question to ask you. But where are we going now and what kind of question is that you want me to answer? You will know later. First come with me. Mom follow sonam and she took her mom in a silence environment near in the corner of their house. Mom can you tell me something about my grandparents. I mean it’s they still alive or dead or they were some where else.

Mom you and dad never used to tell me about your past. It’s there some one in our parents that you have hidden from me. Mom when ever I try to ask question about them you two always make little different face and changed my topic right. She saw that from her mom checks tear roll down. Mom why did you cry did I said any bad mom. No my daughter you are right we have hidden form you that you had a grandfather who love you more then things in this world.

Mom then why don’t you tell me about him before. No, I was above to tell you but I had kept him a promise. Sonam said what kind of promise is that. This is a precious promise to but today I will broke that and tell you everything about him. Her mom closed her eyes and said, dear father I really sorry for breaking your promise. I hope you will forgive me. Now I would tell about your grandfather.

He lived in a small village near the river side. He was same as you who was very kind, polite and nature lover. He always used to tell me about nature and I used to listen to him with great interest like you do. In village everyone says that he was the great story tells about nature and the most intelligent man. Sometime village children also come in our house and make your grandfather tell them about nature. He always does gentle to them and love them very much. In that time you were not born you were still in my stomach.

He was very active. He always awake up early in the morning and do some prayers. One day when I went to call him to have breakfast. He was still doing prayer and suddenly I heard some words from his mouth. Then I carefully listen to him and I said to him, dad did you say something. Then he said. Yes, daughter –in –low, I always want one grandchild.

So, I could tell he/she  about my life, my thought, my love for nature, my childhood time and I could share my felling with them. I have no word to say him about this but I told him not to worry, I hope we will have one child soon, he was so happy to know about this and he blessed me with excited face. Then after nine month I gave birth to you. Friday day was the luckiest day to your grandfather. The day you were born.

Then after some week he decides to keep your name. He called some high monk to keep your name they are all your grandfather friends. Then they all decide to keep your name sonam. Some of his friends told to him that he was very to have granddaughter like you because they knew that you will be same as him. Your grandfather said. Yes, I know that, because she is everything to me. My dream, my precious things in this amazing world. When he said this word, from my eyes, tear roll down. From that day your grandfather was as happy as other grandfather.

So, that was the place where you born. After than you were grew a lots like others child. Your father always used to send clothes, sweet, toys and more other things to please you from city. In your grandfather room you and he always used to play that toy. You even asked many question to him. You always give him lot of trouble but he never used to mind.

When ever you two go out side you always ask him to buy the thing that you see with other child. Evening when you two return back, we used to have dinner and he start to tell this, daughter make me some warm tea and come to listen my story about nature. I used to say okay dad I will. Then when I come back he will be already started the story to you. . He always used to carry in his lap when ever he tells you story.

He share his all the felling of his past and he tells you more about nature, I also used to sit there and listen to him in free time. He even wishes all the time that you two will never get apart from each other. Then one day I said, dad why you are always talk like this. How you two will get apart, no one will do like this, even god does not do that.

No, daughter I even doesn’t know why my mind always come this feeling. Then again, he said to me Dawa today I would like to beg you for something, beg for what region dad I said, for sonam I am begging for you not to take my sonam from me anywhere even when I am dead.  At That time he told me to promise, but at that right moment your father lobsang had came back from “KATHMANDU”.

When he heard this word from your grandfather, he directly told that he came here to take you for study in “KATHMANDU” . Your grandfather said, son I hope you are tire now; you came so surprisingly, you should said some news too us. So we have being prepared for you some food. I now you are hungry, why you are there, first come inside. He came inside with no greeting to his father, even he didn’t say hi! Or how are to us? After that your grandfather told me to go and prepare some sweet tea and good food for him when I came back you were also there with your grandfather instead of your father.

When I gave them food and tea, he only said the what, dawa it’s she our daughter sonam.Yes, I said with happy face, she is our sonam. Then why doesn’t she come with me because she had not seen you before, she was child when you came to visit us, but she knows that you are the man who always send toys to her. Then after some minute your father asks you to come with him, but you did not went.

Then he gave little smile and he said what happing in now generation even his chill don’t her, who is her father, what a surprise! I know this is not her mistake, this is mistake of mother and the person with she is always with, I mean you dad he said. I said your grandfather in surprise! Yes, you dad he said. Then I said him shut –up lobsang. What are you talking about I said in angry face. From back side your grandfather said me to be quite, yes, I will agree you for that, but now would you be quite. We will disturb our neighbors, so, shall we continue this talk in morning.

Now I will leave first said your grandfather, with you in his arm. Your father made a stupid face and said dad then why don’t you leave our sonam with us. Oh! Yes, I forgot that, no dad you always forget this that she has her mother and father to take care of her. At that time I was not able to stop your father unkind word to his own father. In that night I know that your grandfather had not slept.

When I was trying to go there but your dad stops me. In the morning, when I went to your grandfather room to call for him to have breakfast, when I open the door of his room, he was not there. I search him everywhere, but he wasn’t there. When I was near to leave I saw small paper on his pillow, I picked up slowly, and try to read. I am so lucky that the letter was written in our own words. I mean, that words were made by your grandfather himself. Because in that time we have no school like now. So, only your grandfather and I can understand very well.

Then When I read the letter, suddenly my face grew in read and I immediately ran to  show to your father .then I arrive to the place where he was, I told him directly, you unkind man because of you I and sonam has lost our precious things from us. What are you talking about and what was the precious to you two?  I hope not that old man he said. Yes, you are right he is our precious things. Do you understand? I said. But what was exactly written in this letter and what type of handwriting are these, he said after some minute. I will read it for you, so listen carefully.

He had written that he had left this house and went somewhere else where he could not have to see his sonam taking from him. Then what should we do? He had left by himself so what a big deal? At that time I have no any other way to search dad, but I beg your father to wait for only one week. I thought he would surely come back after someday. Even your father agree to wait, days went so quickly. But no news from him, even week past. I was so anxious that now he would not come back. In the morning when I was in the kitchen your father came near to me and said I am sorry dawa today we have to leave. So, pack all the things of sonam.then I did everything what he had said.

Now you two were above to leave. When we gone out of house. In hat moment I saw one man standing near the gate. I went running toward because I knew that he was the man to whom I send to search for your grandfather. He was one of your grandfather’s true friends. Then when I reach to him, I ask him with excited face and at the same time my eyes were full of tear. Where is he? And why he is not here.

But he didn’t replied. I again ask him the same question but he didn’t and your father asks him, please uncle tell something about him. We are getting late to go. And why are making so mourn face. Then after some minute he came near to me and said, dawa I am really sorry to say that your father- in –law has already past away from this world. I was very shocked and even didn’t believe him. I told him that he was lying to us.

How it’s possible to happen such things to him. I don’t believe I said. He again said daughter I have already told you the truth, if you want to believe me or not it’s up to you. Now I am leaving, take care. Then he left with out any other words. After some second, I don’t know why I start to feel dizzy and I was fainted. After that I don’t remember anything. I even don’t know how I arrive over here. I have also lost my voice for nearly 1 month but I was lucky that I got back my voice after long “puja” after that I never went back to your grandfather village.

Sonam I know what your grandfather dream on you. He always wants you to be perfect person in the world. Let your life become easier and happier. And he even want you that when you grow very rare and tender plant tell you that someone is always praying for your long life and happy life. When you sleep he always looked at you and he used to say my princess will be very beautiful leady who is loved by everyone. And you are his heart and soul. He has also told me in that letter that never let you know about him. Because he never wants any tear falling from your eyes.

So, this much I could tell you today, if I get any other free time I will tell you about my past. When sonam heard all the story of her grandfather she wiped her mother tear and said thank you mom for everything you did for my grandfather which was very precious to me and you too. Now the party is near to over. Her father was busy with his friends.

When he call her wife and daughter for dinner, he could not see them anywhere. Then he asks to one leady, miss did you saw my wife with her daughter. Yes, I saw them going outside before some hour. Oooh! Thank you miss he said and went outside there he could not see anyone; he thought that they were refreshing themselves in room. As he was returning inside he heard someone crying from side of the corner of his house. He went slowly and saw his wife and daughter over there.

He ran quickly to them and said what are you two doing? Mom and daughter didn’t say anything. What the problem he said. Then sonam said you have taking my precious thing s from me dad. Sonam what are you talking about. Dad you should know what the precious to me when I was child. Have you forgotten about your father? Now her dad knew that she was talking about her grandfather. Then he said first calm down, do not shout loudly, it will disturb inside.

Then he bend his knee down in ground in front of Sonam and said, I am really sorry  for that please forgive me sonam, please……. From now onwards I will never make any other mistake like this. Sonam said, dad I will only respect you in front of other people but I will never and ever forgive you. I will never.....  Even when I die. Dad never expect for forgiveness from me. Then after some minute their servant came and told them sir and miss everyone is waiting for you two. Okay we will be there said her mom.

Then she told, now shall we go inside, then they went and thank everyone for coming in their sonam’s birthday. Everyone good night and I hope you all enjoyed. In the morning sonam wake up early and went to help her mom in kitchen then she said to her mom, mom can we visit that place where I was born, her mom replied in happy face, I hope someday in future.

Unlike other stories, my story begins with a young man named Sam, with long hairs and a little beard, with his hands and his legs tethered with chains, dawdling in a corridor along with policemen on all sides who were armed with guns. They were heading towards the existent of the building to take him to the court to be judged. While they were heading forward, Sam was staring down on his feet which were carrying him forward. He seemed like he was deeply concentrating in something.

When he went forward he felt like he was going nearer and nearer to his death. So, every step he took forward made him loose his hopes of living in this in this world anymore. But the wonderful memories he had of someone whom he loved the most, gave him some kind of courage. But as the securities were so tight that he could hardly move, there was nothing he could do to help himself. So he was sure that he would be taken to the court and he also knew what would happen to him there. So he wanted to see that person for the last time.

The one whom he loved the most was a beautiful lady and her name was Louisa. He loved her since his childhood but had never expressed his feelings to her. He had once gone abroad when he was 18 years old and had been in contact with her through letters but as he loved her very much he had returned home but while he was in abroad, she had already married another man and seeing her happy with that man he had decided to disappear from their life but before he left her he had told her that he would go abroad once more and earned his living there.

But the things had gone different. So, he knew that she would never come to meet him unless he himself went there. So by any means, to see her for the last time and tell here the truth he had to go there. So he made up his mind to run away. Fortunately, due to some problems, the lights in the corridor went off. So that time he decided to slip of unnoticed and it was success.

The sky was a little grey and there was light mist hung over the meadows and the woods. The sun was so high in the sky that it could be judged that it was around 8’o clock in the morning. He wanted to rest there for a while but seeing his condition he was afraid that someone would notice that he was a prisoner so he ran away. How he ran? He ran through the woods resting wherever his legs wouldn’t carry him any further and by avoiding all vines and creepers having cruel hooked thrones which stung him scratching his hands and his legs. Fallen trees and branches blocked his way and as his legs were chained, it was difficult for him to avoid them. However he managed to avoid it too.

Finally at the end of the day, having a lot of difficulties he reached a graveyard near the church where his fortune met him with a girl who was the sister of a blacksmith. Pitying his sorrowful condition, she out of her humanity was ready to become his confidante and as she promised, early the next morning she brought some broken bits of foods that she could get from her house. She bought a well used file from his brother’s forge with which she helped him cut the irons on his hands and legs and also a scissor with which she trimmed his hair so that people won’t suspect him.
He was very thankful to her and told her that he would never forget her in his life and the last time he saw her was waving her hands to him standing beside a huge tomb stone where he met her last night.It was a very breezy, wet morning that the wooden finger on the post directing people to the village was invisible until he was quiet close under it.

The mist was thicker when he got out to the marches. He knew the way to her house. However in the confusion of the mist he found himself far away from the right way. So he had to walk back along the riverside of loose stones above the brownish mud. He was not worried that the police would find him as everything in the mist seemed invisible.

Finally the weather was clear when the sun was about to go in between the hills and he was able to find his way to Louisa’s house. He had eaten nothing the whole day as he had been lost in the heavy mist. So he was tired and totally exhausted. However he managed to find her house but before he could knock the door, he fainted near the door.

When he opened his eyes he found himself in a room, lying on a bed but no one was around there. Suddenly he heard someone singing a song and the sound became louder and louder. Without any doubt he knew that it was Louisa and his thought didn’t deceive him. When she saw him, she being very pleased said, “Thank God! You have woken up. I was very worried about you.” “Have this, you will get better.” She said giving him some bread, a cup of tea and a medicine. Then she told her to take rest.
For the next few days she looked after him putting food into his mouth, bringing him cool, sweet water from the stream and rubbing his feet gently to make the pain go away.
She looked happier and healthier now, then the time when he had seen her for the last time before. This sight made him so happy that the pain in his injured body disappeared…….

“I have a feeling that something happened to you, the day when you arrived here.” She suddenly said one morning while they were in the dinning table, “your cloths were all tattered and you looked so untidy like you have been in a prison for the past few years. When I saw your condition it made me feel that you had not earned your living well there. Do you mind me telling me if you faced any problem there?” she added.

He was confused what to say and after looking here and there for a moment, he started, “No I didn’t have any problems there. Everything went on as I expected but after this long time living there, I was bored as I had no one whom I knew. So I made up my mind to return back and live a normal life here. But on my way back I was robbed by some robbers and they even tried to kill me. There was nothing I could do to protect myself then to run away from them. I went into the thick forest and got lost there but it also helped me because they also could not find me and fortunately I found your house at night but I was totally exhausted that I couldn’t stand on my feet.”

“That means my guessing was right. Any way I am glad that you are back safely. Now let’s have our breakfast. You have a lot to help Me.:” so they had their breakfast talking on different subject and he helped her complete her works and had a great time working with her.
They lived there happily for a long time but soon he began to realize that he was a criminal and should not let her fall for him which will ruin her life again though she was his soul mate. He thought that he wasn’t the right person for her but always hope that some one would marry her though she was a widow.

“I have a feeling that something or someone is missing here after I came here. But I can’t exactly point it out.” Said Sam suddenly one day.“Oh! I think you are talking about him.” Said Louisa
“Oh! Yaa, where is he? Has he gone somewhere far from here?”  Asked Sam“I have forgotten to tell you about him.” She said.  “He pretended to be a kind and nice man before getting married but I never expected that he was a bloody bastard. After she passed and treated me so harshly and I didn’t knew what the reason behind it was. Sometime he threw me out of my house and slept with other women in front of my eyes. Do you know how much I have suffered during that time? I wanted to die instead of living a life with that kind of man but fortunately he was killed by someone before I could kill and I am always grateful to that person. Now I feel more relaxed, peaceful and I am happier without him,” said Louisa.

He was happy and glad to know that she was happier without him and was please to himself but he was much worried about her future about what would she do if no one marries her. If he wasn’t what he is then he would have surely married her and would have given all efforts for her happiness but that was impossible to happen.
Days passed away and he knew that he would one day be caught but before that happens he wanted to find her a good man who will give her all the prosperity that he could and fortunately one morning while going on a walk he met a tall and smart young man.
Sam knew that he was new there because he looked a bit confused but he wasn’t sure about it.
“Hi! I have never seen you around here before. Are you new to this place?” asked Sam
“Yes sir, I am. I could not find the way to Mrs. And Mr. George’s house. I wander if you know them.”  Said the man
Mrs. and Mr. George was an old couple who had been very kind neighbor to Louis and Sam. They had a son named Thomas who was a kind childhood friend of Sam and Louisa but he was sent abroad and had been living there since his childhood days and had never returned back yet but Mr. and Mrs. George had already passed away without seeing their son having grown up.

When Sam told him about theirs death he put his loads aside and kneeled on the floor weeping his eyes and muttering to himself. This sight shocked Sam so much that he couldn’t wait any longer to know who he was and after asking, he came to know that he was Thomas his childhood friend and very eagerly convinced him that he was Sam his childhood friend and gave him all sorts of comfort he could. Then he took him to his house and there Louisa was very happy to meet him once more in their life and sad a well for his loss when Sam introduced Thomas to her.

As all of them had no one to point as their own, they all began to live together happily as a family. It was a relief for Sam to met Thomas once more in his life and was happy that he found the man he was searching for and he believed himself that Thomas would do everything for her prosperity and he was happy that he didn’t have to worry about her any more but as for himself he was worried that he would soon be caught.
Time passed away very swiftly and those worries he had for himself didn’t let him live peacefully instead he suffered from dreadful night mares. But he never told them that he was a criminal as he didn’t want to add trouble in their wonderful life. As he loved her very much, sometimes he wanted to marry her but he knew that his fate won’t support him in this. So he made up his mind to disappear from their life.

One morning while he was sitting on his desk he saw a man pointing gun at him and saying,” Don’t move! Stand still”. He did as the police man ordered and the police came near him and arrested him.  Then he dragged him mercilessly to the van but before he entered the van Thomas and Louisa came running out of the house asking to explain what was going on. But Sam was silent. She even asked the officer but he told her to ask about it to Sam.

He was silent for a moment and then started, “I am sorry for have not told you the truth. Actually I have loved you since my child hood and always wanted you to say happy. But I wasn’t that brave to tell you that I loved you that much, so you got married to another person. You were quite happy with him and I thought you would be happy with him and that you will be his forever. So I went abroad to spend my life there. I was able to erase the pictures that I drew but I couldn’t rub the pictures that are pasted in my heart. I knew that you couldn’t be mine but wanted to live near you so that I can see you every time. But when I came back I saw you being treated very harshly. That time all I felt was remorse for have married you. I thought that you will be ashamed of your self to see me because every time in your letter you wrote that you are very happy with him.

So I didn’t inform you that I have returned that time but my eyes were always on you. I tried to explain him about love and to make him love you. But he wasn’t a man who would understand what love is and in that course of time we fought with each other many times and one day he even tried to kill me and that time the edge of the knife he was carrying accidentally went to his stomach and he died and now I take his apologize from you. Once more I am sorry.”

Then without a word he entered the van and the driver started the van and went ahead.
She had no words to say at all.  This was the saddest moment of Louisa’s life that she lost the person who had loved her most. She was so regret that she has not recognized her true love. She
